Double Bass Theodor Kreutzer 1937 info please?

Folks,

A friend of mine owns this bass. I am doing some digging for him. He'd like to know any information about the bass and its possible value. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

This is what I know:

It is a Theodor Kreutzer from Germany. 1937 as seen on the label. Carved. Eb neck. The top needs to be removed. Cracks and seams repaired. It'll need a new bass bar as well.

Ken Smith www.smithbassforums.com had a Kruetzer bass but his was a handmade instrument by the luthier. This bass looks more like a shop bass, but check Ken's forum for info.
