There is a ghost in my room

The power of the imagination is an incredible thing. I don't have any doubt people see, hear, and feel "ghosts", but the reality of undead spirits floating around effing with people is HIGHLY questionable to me. As far as I'm concerned, it's all in your head.

The problem with your line of reasoning is that the spirits are not floating around effing with people. They exist on another plane and are only carrying on the way they do. There just happens to be moments where our physical plane crosses over with the spiritual.

The imagination is incredible, especially when multiple people experience the same or similar things, even when they don't know about others' experiences. I also enjoy when it happens to multiple imaginers at the same time. It shows how great the imagination really is. ;)

When you believe in supernatural events you shut yourself off from finding the real reason behind them.
Not so at all. People can believe in those events, maybe even because it happened the them
personally, and then become determined to follow it up to find the reason behind it. Happens all the time.
Life is much more than "either/or".
One questionable thing does not have to equal another definitive thing.

Collective unconscious anyone? I know the exact definition of CU is not what you're referring to, but seems apt in this context.

Aliens are a whole lot more believable to me than ghosts...

I work in a retirement community, we take them from independent through hospice including quite a few with dementia. On average one joins the alumni once a week and we have been operating 30 years. I've been in every apartment, every closet, every mechanical room, boiler room, at all hours day & night,,,should have seen something by now I'd think.

Disappointingly full of opinions and not enough experiences. It's the same with ghost stories everywhere.

I remember getting a book called "Historic Haunted America" as a teen and staying up really late. I'd be so terrified that I couldn't put the book down to go to sleep.

Fun thought on imagination - it's limited to what you know already.

What now seems like a lifetime ago I was showering at my girlfriend's house and had the distinct feeling of being watched. I asked my girl if she had come into the bathroom at any point during the shower and she replied that she had not. I was informed that it must have been the house ghost, a young girl who was very curious about guys. She never watched when women were over, but men often felt like they were being watched. The ghost also frequently moved items around. She was one of those people who is almost OCD-like in her compulsion to put her keys in her purse when she wasn't using them but would frequently find them in odd places, usually when she had an appointment somewhere.

I have no doubt that something is going on in the OP's life. Whether or not it's undead spirits dicking around on the physical plane for grins is another matter.

I must admit, though; I do love a good ghost story. Hopefully one day I'll go on a tour of my home state and see if I can't find any experiences to coax me into believing. Lots of haunted places in Arizona.

I've also heard ghosts.
A friends moms house. At around 4am, the only people in the house were myself, Squid, and his mom and dad. Steps on the stairs. Quite distinct, a man, in boots, walking down the stairs. No one was awake, but Squid and I. It wasn't his dad playing a joke. There was no one there.

And just to clarify my last post, when I said 'then I turn on the light' yeah, I don't really turn on the light. Doing that would wake up my wife, and that Is to be feared.
