Theron Brison

I'm in utter disbelief. I've known Theron for about 10 years now. One of the greatest souls I've had the pleasure of knowing. He was one of the "have to see" people I looked foward to seeing every year at NAMM. All of my thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. Such a sad loss of a great man. Peace Theron.............

The first time I saw him he was playing the hell out of one of your basses at a NAMM. I didn't know him personally, but I've admired his playing ever since. The world lost a great talent. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Hey Chris (Benavente) I was thinking about you today and I was going to reach out to you(to let you know about our loss).

It is so sad, such a beautiful and loving human being to leave us the way he has. All day I have pretty much been numb. No cliche, me and Theron really kicked it like brothers. He was just a beautiful person. Every one who has ever come in to contact with him just liked him the moment they met him. There was nothing fake about him and he sincerely loved to share, give and help in any way he can. his smile made you smile even more if you were already smiling.

I last spoke to Theron this past Tuesday and he was his same fun living self. Such a loss for so many reasons.

It really tears me up inside how a person such as Theron who really did live to be good to people and for the music to be taken the way he was. But I'm sure it's to teach us all that appreciation of another is really a gift in itself. And appreciate Theron I did.

I have soooooooooooooo many great memories of Theron that it could fill a ocean, well maybe not an ocean but probably a sea with a couple of lakes tossed in :)

Read what MFI Recovery Center Executive Director Craig Lambdin had to say about Theron.

He is definitely a cool cat and a killer player.

Theron and I bumped into each other at the Marleaux booth and both got to try out the Consat Sopran, I so want that little bass. Here are some shots of us both trying it out:

I think they washed that Bass on the wrong temperature cycle...

Love it. Sounds like everybody in the band is working towards the same stylistic goal, and the music is mixed right for it, too.

Not at all one of those outfits where the bass player is the only person who thinks he is in a funk band.

Theron, you will be missed my friend.

When I last spoke with him(last Tuesday) he mentioned that he had recently talked to you.

Theron thought the best of every one he encountered. He really did. There was a strong spirit of innocence that he wore on his sleeve with so much pride.

This is such a senseless loss for a multitude of reasons.

Riverside man arrested on suspicion of killing addiction counselor
By City News Service, on October 18, 2011, at 12:15 pm

A Riverside man was behind bars today on suspicion of killing an addiction counselor in San Jacinto.

Corey Lamonte Macedone, 34, was arrested by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and San Jacinto police investigators in the 1700 block of Burlingame Drive on Monday night.

Macedone is accused in the murder of Theron Brison, 48, of Moreno Valley, who was found dead Friday morning at the Valley Wide Counseling Services addiction treatment center on South Santa Fe Street, said sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Reno.

On Saturday, a 37-year-old Hemet resident was arrested on suspicion of Brison’s murder but was later released. Further investigation led detectives to Macedone, Reno said, but did not elaborate on what evidence ties the suspect to the crime.

Authorities also did not disclose the cause of death or a motive. Macedone was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

Anyone with information about Brison’s death was asked to contact Investigator Josh Button at 951-955-2777, or Detective Cassandra Pemberton at 951-791-3400.
