Things that annoy you

Hey TV network executives! Producers, directors, photographic directors, developers, etc...

Viewers understand that subtle camera movements are to mimic us actually being in the scene witnessing it, but I don't have Parkinson's. I'm also not intoxicated.

Hey, if your show has a weak storyline and marginal acting, it will still suck, probably even worse, with a bunch of camera movement. You may think you're fooling us into being excited or into engaging in the story, but all you do is look pathetic.

No wonder why alternative viewing sources have the best programming. But that doesn't give you permission to treat folks who can't afford those alternate sources like dummies.

Eat me.

If the inside of the steak pictured was pink and juicy, it would be a miracle!

Haha! Yeah, it's not easy to do but it is possible!

Some people call it Pittsburgh Style- black on the outside but anywhere from rare to medium on the inside. I don't like rare meat but I'll take it medium with the outside as black as you can make it... yeah, that's perfection. Cajun crust is even better! Mmm think I'll go burn the salmon my wife just brought home... :D

I like any kind of meat burnt. Hot dogs especially brats, steak, burgers, fish, meatloaf... what most people would call ruined is almost back enough. I tell servers at the local steak house, if the outside looks like your black T-shirt it's just right. However the cooks usually won't burn it to suit me, afraid I'll send it back.

I don't, but I'm allowed to observe and post my thoughts here, so I did.

I'm sorry if that upsets your sensibilities or pokes fun at anyone close to you or you hold respect for.

That wasn't my intention at all. :beaver:

Of course you're allowed to post your thoughts, within the rules. I have no problem with that and believe me nothing you said upsets me even if I do happen to share meat cooking preferences with someone who's Triumphant at gaining news coverage. ;) I just thought it was odd that you'd be annoyed by someone else's eating preferences ... unless of course you hold a very certain someone in such low regard that the meat preference could be rare, medium, or burnt, or even exactly match your own, and whatever it was you'd be annoyed by it. :p

Oh and :beaver: back atcha! :D

A book I read a long time ago confirmed this; that people who are friendly but overly so, flattering and sweet are usually the most dishonest people I have ever met or dealt with are 'liked' and seem 'nice'.

Whereas, brutally honest people, who evaluate and give helpful but sometimes hard realities as answers are often slagged as heartless.

Charred on the outside and pink in the middle is, in fact, easy to achieve....

Very high heat for a relatively short time....Easy....

BIG difference between this:

and burnt. That's charred on the outside, but medium at best, not burned to the point of curling. That's meat abuse. The steak in the pic is pretty darn tasty looking!

People on conference calls who do not mute their phones.
People who answer your question before you finish asking it.
People who talk with that upward inflection at the end of every phrase.
People who are never wrong (In their own minds of course)..
People who shake their head in the affirmative.. when the know good and well that they have no idea what you are talking about..
