Things that annoy you

People who get on buses, and don't start looking for their metro cards till after they're standing right next to the driver.

And their relatives, who after paying for their groceries at the supermarket, slowly put their change away as if there was nobody waiting in back of them.

Grrr!

Mike ;)
I don’t care for tailgaters either on the road or in the grocery.

Crossfit.

A friend of mine has injured their back fairly recently. Sitting in a chair is uncomfortable for them at the moment, so they have to periodically walk around a bit or lie down. Their parents have paid for them to go for extensive physio and sports massage treatment. Speaking to my friend recently, they asserted that they were "feeling better and will be able to go back to Crossfit soon".

WHAT??!??!

Crossfit is bad news. Crossfit leads to injuries. Nobody is infallible and beyond weight-related injuries. You can have excellent weight lifting form and discipline, and still injure yourself. Crossfit promotes hashing through sets of lifts at speed, at weights that are generally too heavy. Your trainer is barely qualified to open the door to the gym (you can get Crossfit accreditation very easily and very quickly), so will happily and unknowingly watch you perform a screed of deadlifts or squats with poor-to-no form. Then you are pressured into doing a set of 15 lifts against the clock (bad news) with your "trainer" and fellow comrades goading you on. This isn't how it should be done! from this angle Crossfit seems like a farcical cult, encouraging novices to blast through unfocused and needlessly busy routines in the gym.

Beyond that, my friend is just going to exacerbate their injuries every time they jump straight from some random cardio exercise to thrashing out a set of squats or whatever.

I’ve found the missing link. It’s in my kitchen junk drawer. PM me if you wanna come over & take a look at it.

They come in my kitchen too..Simians of all kinds..
We always have plastic spoons on hand....sometimes they'll whip something up for themselves.
Wife says they like TNC and eating outside..

(btw..I'm not coming to your place because you think you're a tomato).

It's actually common knowledge from Wikipedia that you have to wash a new towel 89 times before it will absorb the water off your body when you get out of the shower.
Speaking of non absorbing... why are standard kitchen dishtowels made out of whatever the hex that is that also does not absorb? :bored:
