I've been out of circulation. Glad to hear you're settling in. Not so glad to hear about the whiny neighbors but that's part for the course nowadays. No sir, moved to the town of Concord, CA. We sold our house and it took us 10 months to find another. Been a long journey but well worth it. We were pretty stale after living in the same house for 32 years.

Yeah, and I'll add the constant pleas for more funding in order to "educate" people on those and numerous other subjects that have been around forever. Because more money fixes everything."Start a conversation."
Things like racism, sexism and poverty have been around for centuries, yet every time one of these issues comes up, someone suggests we "start a conversation."![]()

Annoying is when they call Uber and Lyft "ride sharing services." It's not car pooling, and you're not sharing a ride with the driver. He wouldn't be going to that bar or the airport if it weren't for the customer.
Nothing annoys me any more. Even my impending death.
Yep, what they are is unlicensed gypsy cabs.
There's a reason why unlicensed gypsy cabs are illegal, and it's not just about graft.
But of course because you "hail" the unlicensed gypsy cab and pay using the COMPUUUUUUTER, it's all OK and wonderful and anyone who notices the nature of the emperor's new clothing is just an old boomer technophobe meanie.
Drivers that tailgate.
Drivers that speed up when you try to pass on the left.
Drivers that pass you on the right then cut in front of you when you are in the passing lane and going as fast as possible.
Even though I work in engineering circles, I have to get out my calculator for anything over 720°. God help me if they ever do a fourth rotation!Snowboard and freestyle skiing tricks that are described in degrees of rotation, rather than the number of complete rotations like every other sport.
<figure skater jumps and spins three times> Announcer: nice triple.

A couple three years ago my wife and I went to see Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. The seats in front of us were occupied by three or four young female fans who stood up and danced and sang every song at the top of their lungs. I’m sorry but I paid to hear Faith and Tim sing, and thanks for blocking my view for the entire show. I could have stood up for a better view, but then I would have obstructed the people behind me. I guess I’m just to old for concerts.People who think the rules don't apply to them. My wife and I went to see Andrea Bocelli in concert over the weekend and despite several announcements to turn off your cell phones, there's always those few who don't think it was meant for them. A couple in front of us were taking pictures and texting them to her friends periodically as the night went on, and with her screen as bright as can be it was very distracting. Clueless, ignorant, and inconsiderate. I really wanted to pour my beverage on her phone but I chose not to. Keeping it classy.![]()

I saw the Killers years ago. All I saw was the crowd leaping and fist-pumping. All I heard was the crowd screaming out the songs. Good times.
