So here's an update on my situation: I thought I nipped it in the butt. I went to work, really tried to keep it together, and I've ended up in a new class (the entire class I've been with) and we've had a new trainer for the past week or so. I've talked to this guy about making sure I understand the material, grasp everything, keeping track of the information (since it's been clear for the duration of the time that we were doing everything BUT the job on hand; everything other than ensuring I'd actually get a chance to work with the **** material and develop a work process). I'll admit, at times, I do get a bit run down, and sometimes I have winces, but lately this guy brought it up to me (AGAIN, for someone else) and we were talking, and he's like "well I'm just trying to keep track of everyone, and sometimes it seems like your just having trouble focusing on the material, and I just want to make sure that when I'm giving you a final exam on Friday, that your gonna be able to pull this off so you can handle an actual claims file. I can see your test scores have been improving, but it's just important to keep aware."
OK, semi-legit comment, and at least he's not doing this **** in public, so I'm like "yea well, I'm really trying to keep it together, and I can assure you, I have tons of notes on information, log-ins, repeats of codes and terminology and standards for each of the departments that came in. I'll admit, I will try to visualize working with the material in my head which makes me close my eyes for a few seconds, and I do wince a bit, but I've really been holding it together, I think. I'm much more an auditory listener than I am a visual listener, and I've been doing what it takes to ensure that I stay awake." I have been doing somewhat well on exams (sometimes the material sticks, sometimes it doesn't, we review it before we take the exams and then briefly see what was correct after, sometimes I just don't get it that well tho. It just ****** me off to no end that I try to keep track of someone, and then I have to hear "IT DOESN'T LOOK" like I'm doing something, especially when they know they're wasting time and money foisting paperwork upon us and belittling this entire "this is what a c-____ form looks like, this is what it does....." thing upon us. People learn jobs by doing it. Anyways, that's my rant for the day.
BTW, I've been keeping it pretty solid (minimal IMO twitching and wincing) with vitamin water, vitamin C, B-100, coffee and fruit.
