Things You Don't See Anymore Part 2

Good spoof/parody movies... like Airplane, Spaceballs (well, pretty much any Mel Brooks' film), Naked Gun. Stuff put out today isn't remotely close to the quality of their comedy.

Pick any one of those 3 movies, and people will be able to spin off any number of movie quotations. There's another thread where TB'ers kept adding Airplane! quotations (myself included). Comedy within the dialogue is a lost art these days. Spaceballs: the Now, Then bit is pure comedy genius entirely based on various definitions of Then/Now. The Naked Gun series, just because Leslie Nielsen had dry humor delivery down to a near perfect science.

I remember the whole Quisp vs Quake 'debate' (read - marketing tool) from when I was a kid...IIRC you actually had the chance to vote for which cereal, or rather which cereal's pitchman character, you preferred.

And the 1st 'Airplane' was brilliant...naturally the sequel sucked HARD.

I totally forgot about this one. I remember getting that one year and being so excited!

I would have hated you for this as a kid. I drooled over those things and would have done anything in the world to have one.

Got to ride one of the lawnmower minibikes around at an uncles country house one summer. It was one of the greatest experiences in the world. Somthing about being 11 or 12 years old on a gas powered vehicle that nothing much compares to.

Me too, bigtime ! Lol ! How about the motorized scooters with the small engines these days ? When I see one, I wish they would've been around when I was a kid.
