Santa’s Rocket Ship was the brainstorm of Lloyd Laster, a Tyler, TX promoter who operated a five-vehicle fleet of Christmas-themed bus conversions from the mid-1950s to his retirement in 1974. After Laster liquidated his fleet, the quintet of sleek red & white “Christmissles” met a variety of fates… some continued to ply the promotional circuit for a time but at least two ended up in a Wisconsin scrapyard.
The single remaining Santa’s Rocket Ship traveled the furthest, all the way to Alaska as it happens! Credit that old holiday magic if you like but save some praise for the operators of Mukluk Land, a former junkyard reborn as a roadside attraction/arcade in Tok, Alaska. Considering the location, Rudolph and the boys should petition Santa to ban the restored rocketship from joining in any reindeer games.

The AAA School Junior Safety Patrol Program still exists; but, the badges have changed. When I was a safety patrol back in the late 1960s, we wore these types of badges, which you never see anymore.

I had one of them! A blue one - I think, but I wasn't captain. That was my pass to play pinball in the luncheonette (Bally Hi Lo Ace), and be late for school without getting into trouble. That was kind of a creepy thing for me to do when I think of it now. Even as a kid. I was supposed to be a crossing guard, helping little kids cross the street :/. We called it "guard duty" at my school.

I agree. I thought that is a rather odd item. I never saw that before. And, the strange statement on the top of the box, "So intriguing everyone wants to pick it up".

I agree. Everybody had these monster models in the 1960s; but, I never saw the Monsters of the Movies model collection before. I understand the Monsters of the Movies were made from 1975 - 1977.
