Well, there was a short-lived mid-60’s band from NJ called just The Critters, they had a couple of modest hits…



Then some of the band members got drafted, band fell apart. The lead vocalist/guitarist, Don Ciccone, later joined the Four Seasons.

Then some of the band members got drafted, band fell apart. The lead vocalist/guitarist, Don Ciccone, later joined the Four Seasons.

Mr Dieingly was written on the plane ride to Vietnam. Great song.

I am pretty sure that the Kapa bass shown in my avatar photo was originally purchased new by Ken Gorka, the bassist in the Critters from Venemans Music store in 1967. The seller I bought it from told me that he had purchased it from Ken. I contacted Ken at The Bitter End, and he confirmed that he had in fact owned a red Kapa. I offered to send it to him, (for free) if he was interested in having it back. He thought about it for a moment, and then said that he did not play anymore, and he declined my offer. I saw a news report less than a year later that he had died from cancer.

It has been tried a few times. In one experiment a chimp was raised alongside a human toddler in the hopes the chimp wold learn advanced human skills.
The opposite happened.
Then they reach puberty and become dangerous because of their crazy strength.
