If we were lucky we could find some body to weld it!That brought back some great memories. Find a trashed bike, grab dad's hacksaw... a drill... some nuts and bolts. Just like the kids do today!

We simply jammed an additional set of fork legs onto the end of our current forks. Friction provided all the glue we needed.
