I wore huge red knit bell bottoms with pleats. I think they got ruined in the dryer on too hot of a setting.
I wore red velvet corduroy bell bottoms (with a suave matching red zip-up knit mock turtleneck shirt) on at least a few instances in the early 70s. (Had to make my mom happy. :D)
 
Those couches remind of teenage fumblings with the lights turned low. Until her Dad rushes in!!! :eek:

True story....

My parents had such couches. And a lot of drunken action took place on them late at night while my parents slept upstairs.

When they got rid of them about 15 years ago they donated them to the school I work it. Those couches became part of the SPARK counseling office where kids at risk would hang out, have group therapy sessions, and talk with a counselor.

What could I say? What could I do?

It just happened.

Was funny to me though.

I'll add that they DID have plastic slip covers pretty much all the years we had them. That's the only reason they were in good enough condition to donate.
