Things You Don't See Anymore Part 3

...and still putting many dentists' kids through college! :D
When I was a kid my dentist used to have a small box shaped like a treasure chest that was filled with candy or cheap plastic rings and other small gumball machine type trinkets for you to pick from after every visit if you didn't run out of there crying or screaming.

"Good job sitting still for that cleaning and filling, Johnny. Don't forget to pick something out of the chest on your way out." What a racket!

YEP!

Do you remember Sugar Mama? It was a chocolate covered Sugar Daddy.

Not "chocolate covered", but "chocolately covered"! :woot: ("Chocolately" here meaning something akin to a mixture of dried out ear wax and brown shoe polish, and tasted similar, iirc.) :D

I totally remember those days....

I was 6 or 7...watching the Yankees with my Da in our apartment at 1088 Anderson Ave. in the Bronx...

Two guys are sitting in a black n white rowboat, a fishing boat.
Says one to the other ‘Ya wanna beer?’
‘Of Course I do, ya asshat!’ replies his fishing buddy.
‘I’m looking hard, but I can’t find the church key!’exclaims our dunce.

(cut to the happy beer drinker who has a can of Schaefer beer, exploding with Joy as he pulls that tab back...in anticipation of the kind of beer-drinking satisfaction that ONLY a Schaefer in a can can bring to your brain.)

...and me Da says to me ‘Somebody's gonna make a Million Dollars off that idea!’

...and we laughed at the idea of $1,000,000...

Have I posted this already? Probably, but I'll post it again anyhow. I'm still mourning its demise. Only a few years gone...

I'm surprised it actually lasted as long as it did. I never knew a person beside myself who liked it :) .

Well, I LOVE them !!

Whenever I would try to introduce them to someone, I'd always say, "They taste like licorice and soap"
It's an 'acquired taste' .... :p

I used to buy 12 packets for about $10.00. I have 3 packets left.
TODAY on ebay I checked and someone wants $33.00 for ONE PACKET !!!! :rage:
