I've still got a couple flour sifters. They look just the same only they have a squeeze handle vice the rotary style.

Mine are 60 or more years old. They were my mom's.
I can still remember playing on the floor as a tot in an extremely bright and clean kitchen. My mom would be baking...stuff. I can remember it to this day as the sun shone in through the kitchen window. A tiled floor polished so shiny that I could see my reflection. Chrome and polished aluminum fixtures, appliances and kitchen furniture. Brilliant white wall tiles and paint.
Mom sifting flour, and singing "All things bright and beautiful" in her high pitched and very English voice.
Bear in mind...this was all back in the late 1950's
Weird eh! The things that stick in our minds. But, it fascinated me I guess.

Actually, I always preferred WordPerfect over Word.
I still use WordPad at work. It's great for removing pesky formatting, when you paste to it.
Years ago I worked for Bank 1 developing branch software on an OS/2 platform using a token ring network. We were all Big Blue, baby!
