Don't know about this one, vinyl is on the upswing.
My 24 yr. old daughter bought portable last year and has taken to digging through thrift shops for cool vinyl.
She does listen to it ....... Christmas music year 'round is not cool tho'!
I know, that's cool. I've started buying vinyl again, and acquired a new turntable setup over the past few years. It all started when an exterminator saw a turntable in my garage and offered to buy it. Before long, I bought some new bookshelf speakers and an amp/receiver off Ebay. Since then, I've replaced everything with new components. No built-in reel-to-reel though.
Mediocrity at a Titans game 
I still have the Swing Away. It's in the garage somewhere.
We had an AM Varityper when I was in Printing & Graphic Arts Shop in high school. I preferred to use the IBM Selectric Ball Typewriters though.
PBS is still around, of course, but seeing this logo (and the sound cue that accompanied it) on a Dick Cavett re-run the other night made me smile:
I remember when it was NET (National Educational Television) and it had really cool shows.

If that's not scary enough. How about a clown pouring bath soap into a tub with a kid and a mean looking duck in it?
