I just posted these two sewing machines and stove on FB in an attempt to get them out of my garage. They’ll be recycled if no one takes them. I hate erasing history but there’s just no room in my world for them.

My da was broken-hearted.
He wanted to buy me a Raleigh 10 speed...much like the one he grew up riding down the paths and the lanes of 1930s Ireland...but No, ‘cool’ ( maybe even bordering on ‘psychedelia’) was what 12 year old me held out for.

I never heard of 'ram' handlebars, but I did do something that I'd never seen anyone else do back then (late 60s)...I bought a set of ten-speed handlebars and replaced the high-rise ones that came with it. Got a lot of compliments for that.

The drawer pulls are almost identical to the one on the bottom in your pic. She uses a modern machine on top of it, so she had me modify the top to permanently close up the drop-down sections.

That’s cool. My mother is also amazing with sewing. Like nothing she can’t do. Blue ribbon at the fair stuff. I’m sure when she sees my post she’ll be heartbroken but her house is floor to ceiling in fabric and machines.
Sadly I bet no one will want them and I’m not storing them for nothing.
I hear you. I'm in a similar boat with a large piece of family-heirloom-type furniture. I surely don't want to Goodwill it, but if push comes to shove, we are not running/living in a warehouse.
Take them to an antique store and get whatever they will pay you.
Yeah. If I had to judge them they’re not in perfect condition. They made a million of the things and no one really threw them out. IDK. I’d probably break even with my time and effort maybe. It’s a thought.
Make sure to use the words "vintage" and "retro" in your descriptions, and price them at 10 times what they're worth. You'll clean up for sure!
