Cool pics. Note the overhead elec lines that powered the streetcars, and their rails on the cobblestones. Then later, elec powered buses (second pic). I recall that stuff as a little kid in Chicago. Seems like centuries ago!
Well, my wife has eight different wooden spinning wheels, all of them operable, and uses them to produce yarn when there's call for it. Most of her production is on an eight head spinning mill, though.
Anyone remember when a Shure Vocal Master was the hot PA setup for bar bands?

I've used em. I like the mixer better than the speakers. I'm not sure it was a hot setup when I was using it, probably closer to antique.
Yup. They were convenient as a system and had their sound. I hauled one around in the VW microbus for a few years. Then came PAs with HF horns that could be better suited for rock and roll.
It even has a key ignition...wonder if it has a choke for cold starts
