My granddad had an electric razor that looked just like that! Maybe Phillips were just repurposing stuff from the parts bin when they designed it.

That was my thoughts when I first saw it. I'm guessing folks with beards, got them caught in the microphone, and someone said, "Hey, what if we put some rotating blades in here?":laugh:
 
Wow, THIS brings back memories of car trips in the 1960s.

Some of my strongest memories are from family car rides in the '60s. We lived near the Joisy Shaw and would travel to visit my grandmother and/or other relatives in Philly at least once a month. I distinctly remember going to my grandmother's the weekend after the Kennedy assassination and hearing the report of Oswald being shot by Ruby on the radio while we were riding on the NJ Turnpike.
