I had that grenade. The explosion you could hear for a block, was a paper cap 
. If I remember correctly, it only worked 1 out of 10 times, too. You had to load it correctly, and then when you threw the grenade it had to hit the ground perfectly. Boggles my mind that nobody had a problem with things. There were people coming back from Nam every day, shell shocked, and with all kinds of bad memories. Weird.
And in a totally unrelated note, remember this guy?
