Released at the height of Captain Planet and the Planeteers popularity, this figure allowed kids the world over to play with a plastic recreation of Wheeler, the fire controlling Planeteer. To capture Wheeler's fire throwing abilities, the figure included an internal contraption, which, when activated by turning a wheel on the figure's back, caused the figure to spark, allowing the figure to start fires. Somehow, no one realized how dangerous this was.

We also had Metal Shop in Junior High. We poured molten aluminum castings, brazed metal, machined things. What could go wrong? Ha!
I loved both of those classes!
I talked the teacher into letting me make a guitar (6 string) In 8th grade wood shop. It was solid walnut and weighed a ton but it worked. Later, I made a planter out of it and gave it to a girlfriend. I guess it was not that great.
I agree. We made regular aspirin out of all these highly toxic chemicals. We were not recommended to try it out.Chemistry could get interesting too.
We wrapped a stick of sodium in lab sheets and flushed it. We spent the weekend cleaning, painting and assisting the maintenance man replumbing/ replacing the toilet.Chemistry could get interesting too.
