Anyone remember how much heaven this was setting up and playing on this new gift on a Christmas or birthday morning?

I'd have preferred race cars to Jeeps, but the flexible track segment in this kit was the first of its kind:
Couldn't bend it into too tight a radius, or the jeeps would just get hung up between the segments.
The light-up headlights were cool though.

Cool. My dad was a HUGE racing fan, so growing up we always had at least one track set up in the basement/gameroom. He had the usual stock car slot track but also had the drag strip raceway, too, although it was slightly different to the one posted above. The dragsters look similar but the 'Christmas Tree' was definitely different. Thanks for posting those, @Richland123 and @Winslow. Lots of memories.

The worst thing was when the purple connectors were still in the end of the orange tracks and you got hit with it. Yeah, it will cut the skin open...

Probably still got him somewhere. We used to play a game with the kids called "where's Gumby" just like "where's Wally" but around the house. He'd turn up in all sorts of weird places. 
Even now, he'd re-appear on occasion and the kids would "hide" him. (my kids all have kids of their own, so they are not so little now)

I just bought this at the auction on Sunday... 1917 Victor Victrola. And it WORKS!! Also came with about 70 records. I'm still cataloging them.
Very cool record player. I had one similar to that I bought in the 1980s but I sold it.
