Oh man, I remember that kind of gear (not that exact one). It was heavy as hell, not very loud, fragile, fed back like crazy, and it never sounded very good - but at least it was expensive!

Me and my brother had a lot of fun with these guys! 
We had to make our own. All the R&D I put into them lead to the development of a drag chute for my bicycle.
When the chute actually opened, it was fun!
That happened to me once on the gig trying to hit the high harmony.
