Regarding Amazon... broke my coffee pot in the morning. Wife ordered another around 1pm. It was on my door step at 7:30 that night. Thanks Amazon!I loved Bazooka Joe and sent away for the toys too!
We had to chew a lot of bubble gum to order the item.
It took 16 long weeks to get shipped and we checked the mailbox everyday.
Wow talk about anticipation.
Now if Amazon Prime is a day late on a next day shipment I’m complaining! Great memories.

Everything back then had the standard 'Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery' attached to it. And we thought that was fast!I loved Bazooka Joe and sent away for the toys too!

The venerable Johnson and Smith catalog. They supplied juvenile delinquents with such fun items as smoke bombs, waterprroof canon fuse, onion gum, brass knuckles, cigarette loads, X-ray specs, and more. They got all my lunch money.View attachment 4765231
