We had a color one in the kitchen hooked to cable. It was pretty good picture too! FM sounded good too. Hard to watch football! Ha!
I had this exact Spyder bike and went through several sets of tires...I lived on that thing. Baseball card in the spokes but I always wanted the Mattel engine...dang, never got it!

Hell yeah. I cringe now thinking back about how unsafe I was on mine. We jumped them and raced them. I tacoed rims and broke handlebars. Lol. Anything we rode or drove got mashed. Lol
Ha! Yeah we found out you could tighten the spokes and never realized they were for balancing the wheel! Tightened them to a "high C"...tires and rims were all screwed up.
Painted them...swapped tires, etc. sawed off frames...it was a great time. I never touched my Spyder though.
I've got a 1965 Schwinn Stringray all original girls bike and I am trying to decide what to do with it. Hanging in the garage but never had any Grand kids so....

I remember those 'engines'! I never had one either - had to rely on the playing cards for sound effects.
We added fork extensions from forks sawn off of "donor" bikes.
Slide them over the original forks, stick a #3 Phillips into the axle slots, and hammer them into place.
Made the bikes way cooler but slightly more dangerous.
