My mother used one like this(after her Lilt Home perm.) Hers had a motorized emery wheel.
Those were the Super Jet Liners of their day!
The Guess Who were into Garnet Amps.
The Guess Who were from Winnipeg so was Gar Gillies the founder of Garnet Amplifiers. All Garnet amps and cabinets were made in Winnipeg.
The same is true for Traynor which were and still are made in Toronto. So many famous Toronto bands used Traynor amps over the past 6 decades.

I have an old Traynor YBA-1 and those things are almost bullet proof! 4 screws and the top comes off to access the point to point wiring and passives. I replaced the caps and re-tubed it and she still rumbles. I know some guitarists used them too kinda like a poor mans Marshall. I have a newer Vox AC10 and I wanted to re-tube it and it was crazy just to get to the tube sockets!
