This. My father and I built this up. I still have the wee radio, and I think it still works. One of the few artifacts I have from him.
The Radio Shack brand "Archer." Although I do still use an Archer 6-outlet power strip.

I played through one of these connected to some homemade no name 12” speaker cab at a garage party one time. It wasn’t bad at all. I wasn’t the one who rigged it up, but it worked.

We had one of these in our house when I was a youngster…

Close! It rotated the antenna 360 degrees to get the best Over the Air TV reception.
Was it quarters only because it was 50C a pack, or 25C? When I started working at the sandwich shop, cigs were 60 C and "cigarette change" for a buck was three quarters two dimes and an nickel so you'd have exact change for the machine. So that machine, at least, took dimes.
I quit smoking in '67 when ciggies outta the machines on base went up to 35 cents/pack.
Our system was manual. One of us would yell "better" or "worse" through a window to the other, who would rotate the antenna by hand.
Talk about something you don't see anymore - a TV tuner. Those were the days when stores would have a tube tester handy for public use...
A walnut Fleetwood console similar to this was my first bass amp... it had a 6x9 and a tweeter on each side, and the radio receiver was all tubes. It had a couple AUX IN spade terminals on the back that I jury rigged a butchered Radio Shack cable to plug in my bass. As I recall, the phonograph could do 78-45-33 and 16 (which was cool for half-speed analysis of my parent's Elvis and Neil Diamond collections...)
A few (decades) years ago, sister said her kids friends were overheard to say "Your parents must be rich, you have a Black and White TV!" The truth was, they had not bothered to replace it after the conversion to colour occurred in Souf OZ (1975)
