I was at the first McDonald's I can recall about 1968 (I believe it opened in late 67) and I remember the basic burger being 19 cents Canadian ( they are ~$2.50 here now)
Both ways, of course. Same for me in Miami.Or two burgers, fries and a small coke.
And we had to walk five miles uphill through the snow to get there.
For those of us old enough to remember, their advertising catch phrase was "Change Back From Your Dollar". Burger, fry and drink for less than a buck. . The old U.S. Highway 99 which was decommissioned in the wake of Interstate 5 in 1968 . Portions of the former road still exist as state highways, local roads or historic byways. For me, there's still a way busy stretch of California 99 all the way to Bakersfield.The sad thing is over-weight grown ups played that game too!
