M80s. When I was a kid/teenager (late 60s), they were the holy grail of fire works. Extremely powerful and dangerous! (Let's not forget cherry bombs also.)
I've not seen any of these for decades! Are they still around?

I started to say "Sure they are!"
but then, after a moments' thought, realized the amount of time since I've had any in my own hands can also be measured in "decades."

The cool thing about M-80's they had the waterproof fuse so if you threw them in a lake or pond they would explode underwater and create a huge flash and splash! I'm sure the fish didn't appreciate them. I've seen similar looking fireworks but no way as powerful as the original ones we had as teens and young adults. they've always been called DING DONGS up here in Canada... (at least as long as I can remember)Those Hostess Big Wheels are now called Hostess Ding Dongs. I have a box of them in my kitchen right now.
