To be serious for a moment, there are different levels of Amish. OK, 'nuff of that.
However, the idea of "pimped out" buggies is amusing.
Somehow, seaworthy isn’t a word that comes to mind doesn’t come to mind upon scrutiny.
Gosh, I wanted one of those so badly back in the day. Then I learned it was made of cardboard. (One of many childhood disappointments in the advertising world.

Back in the 90s, I worked at a place where the ownership was extremely religious. Never affected the daily routine, except one time I was reading a newspaper and the elderly semi-retired owner walked by and told me to cover up that pornography. At first I had no idea what he meant, and thought he was joking, but then he pointed to an ad of some department store's bra sale. I hadn't even noticed the ad, but it caught his eye.How dare thee mention ankles?!Bite thy heathenous tongue, ye infidel!
Yeah, those grainy, black & white newsprint ads. Not exactly my 'go to' source for porn.

Umm, kinda hate to mention it, but not too sure I'd want COLUMBIA shuttle mission patches. That wasn't exactly a big success.
This is a gross oversimplification at best, and disrespectfully flippant at worst. Columbia was the first shuttle to fly into space, and flew 28 missions over the course of its 22-year service life. It was a trailblazing vehicle that proved the viability of the Shuttle program, and made numerous contributions to the US space program overall. It deserves to be remembered for far more than its tragic loss.

While the poster commemorates the accomplishments of Columbia and honors its final crew, those jackets-as pictured-would most likely be thought of as offensive.

That ad came out in 1981, at the very beginning of the Shuttle program - as noted in the blue text box, indicating that the "Presidential jacket" was given to Ronald Reagan after Columbia's first flight.
And I didn't "misunderstand your point" at all. You reduced the distinguished career of a complex vehicle, and the loss of the people who last flew on it, to a punchline.
Nothing could be more clear, in text or otherwise.
Well, you're wrong. I was attempting to point out that wearing one might not be a good idea. We have a fairly limited space to "say" things here. I was also trying to be brief. But YOU didn't get it and that's too bad.
Oh. One other thing-I couldn't see the ad's date.
