THIS is what the Whataburger stands looked like growing up in Texas in the 60's and 70's. Man do I miss those.

The Pig Stand. The first drive-in restaurant chain, started in Dallas in 1921, company folded in 2006. The Pig Sandwich was a pulled pork sandwich along the lines of most pulled-pork sandwiches you'd see today, plus a whole diner menu. Another one I miss.

Yeah, Weinerschnitzel is still around...I go there about once a month. But it's been a long time since I've seen the old style buildings with the drive-thru literally going through the building.

There are two Barnes & Noble stores here in Tulsa, and they're doing solid business.

I have one of those Laredo machines and a Bugler machine that my grandmother used. I don't smoke but she smoked a lot.
