That brings back memories. Had one (the bottom one) back in 6th grade, circa 1972-73. I remember you had to pull up on that metal bar across the top to zero it out. Cool memories!

I still remember the feeling of dread when candy bars went up to 10 cents. That was a big difference back then when my allowance was only like 50 cents a week.

The only thing comparable to this was a friend of mine who picked up an unopened Vanilla Ice doll at a Kaybee Toys clearance sale for 99 cents. . It had been marked down 5 times from its original $15.99. You could see all five of the price stickers on it. He said only bought it for that reason!

I always carried an extension cord with me. You could unplug it from the timer and go straight to the wall outlet and run it as long as you liked.

I make my own logs too, but they're not made out of paper...
