My daughter got this for me many years ago at a long since closed restaurant. Never worn; kept in the bag. Seems appropriate now.

What type of wire? Unnecessary wire. The pots are already connected to ground through the control plate to the output jack.

We had one of those. Our parents always made us kids roll up the paper logs. A good way to recycle newspapers, I guess. But I imagine inhaling the fumes from the burning ink wasn't good for us...
