Maybe I should research this as an opportunity. I've been dealing with stink s*** for years, so I've got the experience.
Those would either have been real good or real bad--no in between.
Idk if anybidy uas said this yet, but, Planters cheese balls.
This is a long shot, but I'm going to have a go at it anyway... it's one of my earliest memories, and something that I'd love to kinda solve.
I must have been around 4 years old, and my grandmother who lived next door was the first in the family to get a color TV. My older brother got to sleep over there and watch TV one night when I wasn't allowed for some reason, and the next day told me of some great movie he saw (pretty sure it was in black and white though). I have a very vague recollection of his saying that it had to do with this guy who was an artist, then one day someone either poisoned him, or put something in eyedrops (or soap maybe) he was using, that blinded him. I don't remember anything much else about that, but remembered that I REALLY wished I had seen the movie too, alas... at that time it was virtually impossible. Had my mom check the TV guide periodically to see if it was replaying... but no to avail.
Anyhow, I recently started watching the 1 hour Alfred Hitchcock episodes and it reminded me of that early memory. I'm thinking there's a remote chance it might have been one of those that he saw... really just a poke in the dark though.
Can anyone think of any movies or TV dramas that involved an artist somehow being blinded, pre 1965? I figure there's no place better to come for this kind of thing that here.
By George I think you've got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to check in with my brother to see if there's any chance he'd remember.
I'm now healed of all my childhood woes, thanks to you my friend! I must find a way to pay it forward.
