Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head toys are still made; but, not their related toys from long ago.

I, like most everybody else back then, had a Mister Potato Head. First the original where you used a real potato then the plastic one, but don't remember the others. Maybe I was too old by then.

I thought it would be appropriate to post this during Halloween season. When I was a kid, Ben Cooper costumes were big deal. I, usually, ended up with a cheap imitation or a homemade costume. Anyway, Ben Cooper is long gone and was bought by another company that makes similar costumes.

I always hated that kind of costume--what superhero goes around with a picture of themselves on their chest?
I would have preferred the costume look like whichever hero it was...
And that was when I was a small child...
