Things You Don't See Anymore Part 3

...you don't need to read English to understand them.
On the "universally understandable image" score, I still give top marks to Japan's "GT[H]O" figure:

I may be within striking distance of one some time next week. If so, I may pop in just to satisfy my own gawk-at-the-carnage impulse, but I don't have much in the way of expectations.
~ After six [bleep]ing hours in traffic... (Yes, I'm that far away from everything.) ~

Well, I suppose I have darkened the door of a Joann store for the last time. They had much more fabric than I would have expected, but the 2-yard minimum to buy any limited what I would have been able to use. (I've already made curtains for four rooms of the house, and doubt I'll ever use that much fabric again.) The pattern drawers seemed to be largely untouched, if anybody knows anybody who uses them.

The Gutermann thread rack, as expected, was utterly desolate and empty. That sucks. I'm not running Coats & Clark or any of that other "bargan" [💩] through my machines. 🤨

So it goes... :rollno:

So, it's curtains for you. :roflmao: I know, it's off to the Puns thread for me.

A friend asked me just yesterday to help him get one of these working. I refurbished the on-off switch and now it does operate.
I remember seeing Charlie Weaver on TV quite often years ago. Who was Elsie Krack?

He has the martini glass that goes in Charlies hand, but is missing the eyeglasses and the box.
It is supposed to produce smoke out of the ears, so I have to figure out how that works next.
(If anyone knows anything about the smoke generator on one of these, please let me know. Thanks!)
