Thinkin about downgrading?

i have a fender deluxe active jazz bass mim. i was thinking about selling it or trading it for a squire classic vibe p bass. i love those basses so solid. i feel im just kind of over my jazz and im not a huge fan of the "activeness" of the bass. any thoughts?

You could trade for a MIM p bass.
The quest for tone never really ends but at some point you just need to start making some music and stop worrying about your gear (I'm actually saying this to myself).
It's amazing what a good set of pickups, change of strings and a setup will do for any bass.

yea i always thought about switching it from active cause i do love this bass i also have a badass II for i never put on. i just gassed out for one of the classic vibe p's. but ill have to do the research and make it passive and put the bridge on it. i definetly only focus on the music trust me and i always feel my deluxe is lacking in the mix for some reason(active pickups??) i only have two basses, this use to be my main one but now my main is a cheap spector performer 4 string passive and my jazz sits. i play alot of shows as well close to 10 a month average. and the cheap spector kills it, i also feel i like cheap basses cause the snobs might give me crap for rocking a squire but they wont after they hear me.
