Thinking about buying an Avatar B212...

Hey everybody,

Im kinda new here but ive got a quick question.

I have a line on a very gently used (looks brand new, seriously!) Avatar B212 8 ohm, non NEO, for what seems to be a steal. Could I possibly go wrong buying this cab for $100???

I have been practicing with a Rumble 75 for a while and thinking about getting a little "rig". I play a old beat up p-bass knock off and a very nice esp ltd b104. I usually play punk, ska type stuff. I dont have a head yet but I dont think i should pass this up!

A little help PLEASE! :help:

Sooo, im guessing that was way too dumb of a question to ask...

How bout this...

If you were given an Avatar B212 by a friend, would you thank them??? Or punch him/her in the face and go have sex with their significant other?

I eagerly await your help on this...

If it is a real avatar and the deal is for real and it works you can't go wrong. Even if you don't like it you can re-sell it for more than you bought it. I have an Avatar 18' 400 watt cab. They don't make them anymore.

Good cab IMO. I have two of them. One for indoor small bar gigs. Two if I'm outdoors. Sound good, light and seems well made. Looks like a steal to me.

I don't use much if any of the tweeter. I usually keep it off. If you like the clacking you may want something with a better tweeter. You can coax a decent amount of highs out of it without the tweeter though.

just upgraded my rig to an swr working pro 700 and an avatar sb212 ceramic cab. it sounds great, but i can hear the speakers starting to fart w/ the master at about 75%. rich and clear w/ lots of nice mid range harmonics once you back off the gain tho. you're deal is too goo to pass up.

Cool! Sounds like they can take some pretty good power.

I missed out on the cab. I waited too long I guess. When I called they said it was sold. :crying: its cool. I don't even have an amp to push them with yet. It was gonna be my first cab. Oh well.

Thanks for rubbing it in... :D
