Thinking about getting a Daisy Rock bass.

You mean like these two?

My Daisy Rock Rebel Rockit in Atomic Pink is a very reasonable bass - narrow, thin neck; stays in tune; light weight. Sound is good. This is the only passive full-length model they were selling. "Design by Duncan" pickups, P-J style. The bridge is cast, pretty solid. I've had it about three years, bought it new, and it didn't have the finish issues that some people in this thread were complaining about.

Certainly makes a splash on stage... Kids just stare at it sometimes :)

I just had to get a Pink glitter Bass for my 7 year old girl, when she said she wanted to play bass. I looked for months, and finally had to buy one from England and have it shipped. The heart fret markers and pink pearl finish are perfect for her.

It came in a little damaged, but repairable.

She loves it, but only plays once in a while. I don't want to push, lots of time for her to play.

Hey if it's a bass that is in working condition then go for it! I could care less if I had to gig with a Wal-Mart bass, remember it's all in the player! Then again I'd prefer to have a bass with more quality but hey either way a bass is a bass!
