The best remedy for GAS is just checking the old bank account. I followed the same route as you, but just did it 25 years ago...guitar to bass. Am soooo glad I did!

The SR505 has actually gone UP in price. It's a great 5 string. You'll get a more modern sound for sure with the active PUPs.

When I look online the SR505 I got is usually $650 everywhere, but it was on sale at GC for $550 and I had a coupon and got it for $450. Felt like stealing

Congrats on the ibby they are great sounding and fun to play I have a few of them myself from the sr300 to the prestige models and love them all
