Thinking I may be fired but not sure

Hey everyone ....thinking I've been fired from a band I am with but not sure .....at the first of the week I got an email about a gig ...I email them back with songs I wanted to do and for them to send me the keys of the songs they wanted to do ....but nothing back from them...I've Texted them a few times also .....but nothing in return ....what do yall think ....if I am its the first time I have ever been fired ...kinda weird ....lol....let me know yalls thoughts

Call the bandleader ask him whats up...gig still on, did it get cancelled, etc.
Based on your original post, he wont answer so you will have to leave a voicemail.
At the end of the voicemail sound cheerful and be SURE to conclude with "OK see you guys at the venue for the gig im psyched!".
This will guarantee some kind of proactive response by the bandleader if you are fired- becUse they cant afford a scene at the club if you show and theres a sub bassist setting up next to the kick drum!!

Yes ...I have been with them a few months ....and we have had a practices but we could not get together until the gig...and I wanted the key to the new songs so I could work on them before the gig....we would get there early and go over them before the gig

I've been fired before!!! Don't burn any bridges! It's only Music! Just remain friends, even support them if they pick up a new player. Sometimes, some of the players may start an even better band, and they might want you back! Just my thoughts, and personal experience!

Don't rely on e-mail or texts. They can be ignored too easily, lost, told they were not received, etc. You can try them first, but if you don't hear back within 24 hours, you have to call. Someone has to be professional and communicate, and since you're the one wigging out, it must be you.

I'm going through a very similar "communication" situation right now. Texts not answered and I start thinking something is wrong, so I call, and there is no problem.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who isn't afraid to actually TALK to someone on the phone.

And If you get no answer make a visit to them in person.
