You can get them at Stewart MacDonald also, but sold individually.
Thanks.

Would the slap-pop have enough twang with the strings so low?
If I go with fretting, I'm thinking 6230 (small/vintage fretwire). Since it doesn't lift the string up much, will it create more buzzing? Any recordings I could listen to where the bassist is playing on a vintage tinywire neck?
As always, any thoughts are appreciated.
King Olav, I have found Warmoth very accomodating with their customers. For instance I was just on their site building a Gecko5 medium body and saw they don't list a P pup option and I want dual reverse P's. I sent them an email and they replied they could do it without any problem but they don't list P's as a pickup rout for the Gecko5 series. If you use the contact form I'm pretty sure they'll do everything they can to get/keep a customer.
Hello, cool thread, thanks.
1. What weight for a jazz bass body should I look for for the finished bass to come in at about the 9 lb mark?
2. Are the warmoth jazz bass bodies full size?
thanks!
Kicking around this idea for a build (first time), and would like to hear everyone's suggestions / thoughts / 2cents . . .
Warmoth JBass, Bartolini MM (bridge), Fender (MIM) PBass Neck . . .
Keeping it simple, the unfinished body comes in at like $255 for Walnut, and $185 for Alder.
Is there a type of wood that would be great for this setup that I wouldn't need to finish? I figure I could save some money that way, and still have a great looking bass . . .
Not sure if I could stain/finish the body myself for cheap . . .
I was going to do a Bartolini MM and preamp with some switches (or whatever I needed) for controls . . .
I figured I could snag a cheap MIM neck (either J or P) from ebay, to finish it off.
Anyone have body wood or finish recommendations, as well as thoughts on electronics, or controls?
Thanks!
Does Warmoth do nitro finishes? I looked on the website and couldn't find it anywhere
anybody have any experience with the new short scale body stuff. Seems rather silent on all the threads. Really like the single cut but looks like it needs a 2 +2 to avoid neck diving???
maple body??
