6 months ago, I had no basses, just guitars. Then I started hanging around here...and THIS is the result:

Yeah, I started with a cheap Ibanez, but since I've been on this site I have been through so many basses. It is a curse and a blessing.

Curse: So much gas

Blessing: Gives me a multitude of information and an oportunity to try equipment I otherwise would have never discovered.

I started with 1 bass and a 200 watt Yamaha combo amp, have gone through the full stack stage, and now have 4 basses (3 of which I am happy with) and a full stack light weight rig with a 5 piece pedal board and the beginings of my own PA (currently have monitors, working on power amp and mixer)

Yes, don't stick around too much, I had 1 bass three years ago, thanks to TB, I ended up going through over 50 and keeping 14. People here are too helpful in getting you sucked in. I bought a number of basses I've never even heard of thanks to these folks.

If it makes the OP feel better, I was happy with 2 basses for decades(!)
..Then I found this place. I learned what G.A.S. meant.
I currently own 10 electric basses,3 electric and acoustic guitars and rent an upright. Not to mention 3 Kurzweil keyboards and a bunch of amps and cabs.
