Apparently he did it MANY times.
I believe there were about twelve to fourteen jars filled with items, each with a date of extraction. Every jar contained at least two items, sometimes up to eight or so. While there were a few patients these items were removed from, most of them were from just one very sick man
 
I've seen and done a lot of very horrible things in my days as a medic and human tissue recovery tech. I mean absolutely horrible things that probably only army medics and corpsmen can top. These pictures almost made me queasy, which is as close to queasy as I get anymore, and I am the guy who can page through the Handbook on Skin Conditions (genital lesions chapters too) while eating. Powerful indeed.
