This is just wrong.

Sicko's with the capacity to harm defenseless animals have a high tendency to start doing the same thing or worse to people. Children are one of their favorite targets. Numerous serial killers, rapists and pedophiles got their start by torturing animals. I have 2 cats. They are like kids to me. if I ever caught anyone trying to harm them, they would get clobbered over the noggin.

It's not that cut & dry. When I was a badass kid, I used to do horrible things to animals, and I've never had the desire to kill a human! In fact, I'm sure many of us have, only I'm the only one with stones to admit it. We used to put frogs in anthills and worse, and I turned out fine. In fact, a few of the guys who used to do it with me turned out better. One's a Baptist preacher, one's a city councilman, and one even turned out to be a Circuit Court judge. Also, keep this in mind: Ted Bundy never tortured animals, and look how he turned out! I think studies like that tend to be a bunch of psycho babble. Besides, the guy didn't "torture" that cat, he merely shot it through the head with an arrow. The cat failed to live up to its end of bargain and didn't die. That's the cat's fault!

many comments in this thread can be countered in an essay written by kim du toit "The pussification of the western male" If anyone would like me to link them the essay, just give me a PM.

the more we give in to little dissappointments, especially that of being vegetarian for the animals sake, we lose credibility and set bad examples for our children. When our children see that we give in to little discomforts... wait...

Instead of finishing the post, i think that as a country, we should all "cowboy up" in a sense. Feel bad for that cow your neighbors ate? well the cow served its purpose, now go out and fulfill your part in the societal contract and do something good like parent your child, or go to work and applying your talents to better the community.

motto for october 30th? Cowboy Up

I like to shoot birds much more than evil human passersby. But I like to stick vacuum cleaners on innocent humans mouth and nose- the big industrial strength vacuums...

Talk about fun...

There's seriously a difference in problems of pests, (skunks, squirrels, possum) and pets. Unless you're plagued with lots of strays (dogs and cats), you can assume they're people's pets. Just like I'm not going to bust out the .22 for the kids messing up my leaf piles on the curb, you don't do it to someone's pet either.

You like shooting birds? you evil person. Birds are the most beautiful and intelligent of all(look at N'Kisi the african grey parrot).
