This is not an April Fools' Joke - BTB owners rejoice !

I ordered the Classic version of the H6 pickups. I replaced the MK1s in my SR500 with the Classic version of of the MK4s, and I like how they sound, at least with the Bartolini pre-amp I added at the same time. I'm going to try just the pickups on the BTB33 first; I'll decide afterward whether to replace the pre-amp.

The H6 pickups took a few weeks to ship but should be here in a few days. I'll report back once I get them installed in my '33.

Poking around on BestBassGear, it appears that the P4 shape (nominally for 6-string basses) is very close to the dimensions reported for the BH2s: 117.60 x 32.13 mm.

Nordstrand offers pickups in the P4 shape, too.

So, now the question is whether all the BH2s are this size.

my guess is yes, they all have the same dimension. I'm guessing there's only 1 type of BH2 (in a pair) and Ibanez uses the same pair on 5, 6, and 7 string basses.

The same thing happened on the BH1, Ibanez put the same kind of pair on my BTB686SC as well as on my SRFF806. I just checked the width of the magnetic area on the BTB685SC BH1 pickups, it is the same 90 mm width as on the SRFF806 BH1 pickups. I'm guessing yours on the BTB33 has the same magnetic area width too.

Those look like the measurements for the 5-string BH2. Does anyone have the measurements for the 4-string?
Bartolini stated on his website that the 5 string BH2 can be replaced directly with his MK5 pups, so this means the 5 string BH2 measurements are roughly 107.57 mm x 33.66 mm, whereas @Farrin D's BH2 measurements were from his BTB846SC's (so, 6 string BH2 measurements are roughly 117.475 mm x 31.750 mm).

I'm guessing the width of 5 and 6 strings BH2 are the same as what Bartolini has stated, which is 33.66 mm. The difference from @Farrin D's mesurements, which is 1.91 mm, is so small and might be caused only due to imperial measurement that he used (then converted to metrics). So, since from 5 string to 6 string BH2, only the length changes, which is 10 mm, maybe the 4 string version is 10 mm shorter than the 5 string version...
