HA!.... they are out there though... I think I've seen them... looking at makeup and handbags and what have you....

But if you're on the forums here you should be happy to be a Bassist....

Staying with a friend of mine while trying to figure out moving/living situation... he's a guitar-messer (doesn't really practice enough to be a player) and he picked up one of my basses the other day and said "You know I never thought I'd like playing bass but after seeing you and actually playing this one I may change my mind"... I then told him he would have to find his soul after losing it being a guitarist (joke I'm a guitarist too) and apologize to it many many many many many times over

I think it's because usually the bassists are the overweight and/or bald(ing) members of the band, who may sport hats. This is not always the case, but it seems true more often than not.

I got the overweight part down in my two bands but all the guitar and horn guys in my two bands are balding as is one of the drummers. I'm over 50 and while there is plenty of gray, it is all there.
