This Makes me Sick.

I don't know what everyone is so upset about. I mean I feel bad for the guy whose dog it was, and for the dog, but at least it died humanely! Animals are subjected to much worse (eg the setting on fire thing) and THOSE people are the really sick ones. I don't know what dog tastes like but I'd give it a try - you can't knock it 'till you try it!

And everyone is saying "cut these people up" and "shoot these people". Wouldn't shooting them be doing exactly what they did to the dog? How is that going to solve anything? Their friends would get mad and eat everyone's dogs & cats.

Speaking of drinking we also had not to long ago a month or more. Two men got drunk and decided to see who could hang over an overpass the longest. They said that the guys arms got tired and couldn't pull his self back up. Not only did he fall, but he fell in front of an 18wheeler.

Well if you're stupid enough to do that, then I guess you deserve to die then. Survival of the fittest and or strongest right? :D

I hope this guy gets a lot more punishment from the locals then when he's in jail, and hopefully he's getting quite the punishment in jail....if you know what I mean. What a sick basta**d. Uh..HELLO! This isn't Korea dip**it. We don't eat dogs here in the U.S.

First I would like to say that what those guys did was wrong. Stealing someones pet is wrong. Also I don't know what their local laws are about butchering dogs or how they killed it. The article just said that they shot it, so who knows. But I don't care who you are, you don't go around stealing animals and butchering them.

One time for the sake of curiosity I called the police in Austin and asked if it was legal to kill and eat a dog. They told me that is was, as long as you were the legal owner of the dog and you killed it in a humane fashion. Now I am not saying that I would ever do that, because I don't realy need to when I am used to eating all kinds of other meats. I eat bacon and ham all the time which come from pigs. Pigs are way smarter than dogs and some are kept as domesticated pets. It just so happens that over the course of history humans bred pigs for eating and bred dogs for working and companionship. Because bacon tastes good, pork chops taste good and a dog has personality. Personality goes a long way.

Anyway dogs are animals they are not humans. We eat other animals all the time just like we have for thousands of years. I own a dog and love her very much. I am also somewhat of an activist against BSL(breed specific legistlation). I have writen a few letters and at least try to spread the word and defend my favorite breed the American Pit Bull Terrier.

I any of you are curious here are a couple of great links. The first is a general information site about the breed. The second is another forum I post on all the time with other proud pit bull owners.

I dunno, it wasn't that bad. They shot it THEN ate it, it wasn't tortured or anything, sure it's horrible to do, and probaly gross to eat, but there are restaurants who deep fry cats while they're still alive (I've seen footage).

Edit: is it bugging the bajeebus out of anyone else what kind of buns they used? Hot dog, hamburger, bread, etc.

They probably just ate the meat in pieces or steaks, and then used whatever bread to sop up the juices

Ohhh….bbbblllllech….I’ve got to cut back on listening to Opie & Anthony

yeah , seems to me there must be more to this story.

i will postulate.

it was an akita , a breed known for tearing german sheppards to pieces . also they can't be fenced in without a roof

the owner " i taught him to be peaceful "

flags go up here for me

i taught him to be peaceful

because he ate all my neighbours dogs.

This is an excellent point. I too owned an Akita and it was as you described: a killer. Akitas are one of the most aggressive types of wolf, so this 'teaching it to be peaceful' idea sounds a bit queer. I would be upset if someone had kidnapped my Akita and ate her, but it would be justified by her behavior. I no longer have an interest in aggressive dogs; I own a German Shepherd.

I agree, and I'm a meat eater.

I don't at all. I'm not going to get into the whole deal... but if we are refering to this dog as just a dog, it's stealing property. But usually, and it seems in this case, it's like a family member. To me, this article could have read, "Stupid ass rednecks got drunk and decided to kill some girl and eat her" and I would feel the same way.

I don't like being a meat eater, but I can't afford to be a vegitarian. For one, I hate beans, and all the crap you have to take to replace the things your body needs to be healthy gets expensive. Yes it's sad that cows are raise to be food. But don't come up to my house and steal my cow that is a part of my family and eat it.

I heard that human tastes gross, and cannibals do it mostly for ritual.
