This should be fun...

After having to restring both basses and having to tune them, I tuned my Dirnt BEAD and my Steiny Spirit DADG. I have already found that DADG is a lot harder to come up with cool stuff. Can anyone recommend me a song played in Drop-D, to help me get in the swing of things?

If I posted this in the wrong section, sorry.

Thanks guys.

Sober-Tool
By the Way-RHCP
Testify-Rage Against the Machine(+ a bunch of other Rage Songs)
The Love Song- Marilyn Manson
The Middle-Jimmy Eat World
Walk-Pantera

I've just decided to keep one of my basses in DADG so Im trying to learn a bunch more songs in that tuning.

They were fun to see live! I saw them with Escape The Fate who blew me away. Ronnie was still around back then. Man, that was a minute ago! :ninja:

I saw them at Warped last year and they were incredible; easily one of the best live bands on the whole tour. They were one of the few bands that day who managed to sound BETTER live than on the recording!

This year, despite having fewer (in my opinion) good bands, they had a nice number of GREAT bands. The kind of bands who, after seeing them live, it ruins the recordings for you because the live show is so much better (Dillinger, Enter Shikari, Four Year Strong, Reel Big Fish). Plus, this year there was enough "staggering" between good and great bands that I managed to see every band I had gone there to watch :D!

I'll be the third to say Rage Against the Machine is a great place to start. The song Freedom is one of my personal favorites, off their self-titled debut.

Also, another that comes to mind is the song Circles, by Incubus, on the album Morning View. Dropped D is really an easy tuning to play in once you learn songs like these, but it's also easy to sound repetitive too.
