He was also at a local bass hang recently and brought his 10 string Conklin. Good stuff.

Hey, diff'rent strokes for diff'rent fo'ks.

I was guessing it'd be more of a touch instrument than an EB, but from the clip seems like it's a combination of guitar, touch instrument, and EB. I can see how that'd appeal to some musicians.
 
In fact he is :) Stewart is known for his 9- and 10 string basses. Kinda funny that he said the other basses with less strings were not a challenge for him to play :D

THIS would be easier to play and you could do more with it. Did I ever mention I met my wife at a Sitar class? Well, I did, we married and now we sit around frequently. We like sitting. And I usually use a pick. :spit:
