Thomastik Jazz Rounds - amazing

Since this thread has convinced me to pull the trigger on a set of TI Jazz rounds, I wanted to share my experience and a short clip.
if you ever decide to try them, I recommend waiting a few days after installation before making up your mind: they really seem to need a little time to "adapt" to your bass. They're great for funk fingerstyle close to the bridge, although they sound great with a pick too. For slap, they definitely have a "vintage" flavor. Very expressive string and quite different from any other brand I've tried before. Note: I was already a TI flat fan and I like light gauges. They do require a lighter touch, but also they naturally make you want to play like that, so it didn't take me too long to adapt.

Both PUs full on, Markbass micro mark amp flat.

How well do TIJR play with a piezo-equipped bridge? I've found D'Addario XL Chromes, at least, go "ping!" or "pew!", especially on the lower strings, and picking close to the fretboard helps but doesn't totally fix the problem. I'm hoping that maybe lower-tension strings will bring less star wars zap gun noise.
