Since this thread has convinced me to pull the trigger on a set of TI Jazz rounds, I wanted to share my experience and a short clip.
if you ever decide to try them, I recommend waiting a few days after installation before making up your mind: they really seem to need a little time to "adapt" to your bass. They're great for funk fingerstyle close to the bridge, although they sound great with a pick too. For slap, they definitely have a "vintage" flavor. Very expressive string and quite different from any other brand I've tried before. Note: I was already a TI flat fan and I like light gauges. They do require a lighter touch, but also they naturally make you want to play like that, so it didn't take me too long to adapt.
